Bring the People Together
If you've been under a rock for the past 10 years, you may not have heard of the band LIVE before. Well, that's not exactly fair. You could be musically inclined to classical music or not care for rock. Whatever the case may be, LIVE is my favorite band (as I've mentioned numerous times on this blogg and bio). It's become more of an obsessive compulsion to listen, actually. I listen to LIVE almost exclusively, at work, at home, in my car, the gym.... anywhere. They are that good. I wanted to give a sampling of their music here because I think the lyrics to some of their songs are pertinent to what we're all trying to do here - "change the world". These guys are DOING IT.... Please read the lyrics and comment as you wish. Buy their albums. I have yet to hear one song I haven't fell absolutely in love with.
BTW - Thank you, band members of LIVE for your inspirational creativity.
BRING THE PEOPLE TOGETHER - FROM BIRDS OF PRAY
I was lost, I am found Do you see your son down on the street? In the early mornin’ there were revelations in my mind It's a crime, this dark time In the early morning there were revelations in my mind Bring the people together I was lost, I am found Tell me, is this a nation? Is this a tribe? |

Help

I think they're an excellent band :)
Thea, found you through your Ishmael pod and found we have another common interest in LIVE. I have been following these guys since “Throwing Copper’…I was even lucky enough to have friends in security when they came to Boston and I got to meet Edward and the band. Edward is the “real deal” who speaks and lives his lyrics. Very intense dude.
One of my all time favorites– which is significant to me is “Run to the Water” from The Distance to Here. ( but you knew that it was from that album I am sure..;) )
Adam and eve live down the street from me
Babylon is every town
Its as crazy as its ever been
Loves a stranger all around
In a moment we lost our minds here
And lay our spirit down
Today we lived a thousand years
All we have is now
Run to the water
And find me there
Burnt to the core but not broken
Well cut through the madness
Of these streets below the moon
These streets below the moon
Great lyrics all around on each and every one of their songs.
I have more pods to administer to than I can handle at the moment, but I HIGHLY recommend someone make a pod for LIVE. It would be great to discuss what they’re doing on tour and have lively (see? I made a pun) discussions on the lyrics and their religious and political undertones. Heck, they’re not even ‘undertones’. The words are so in your face THERE.
I think my favorite song is 10,000 years (love that spanish guitar), but I could sooner pick a favorite toe than pick a favorite Live song. Their all quite vital to my existance at the moment!
Namaste
Thea
