My friends at Zaadz
I'm making a master list of my friends on my blogg for three reasons: I want to remember where and when I met you guys - sometimes I get confused. I want to celebrate my friendships with each of you. And lastly, you guys are really cool and I want to re-introduce you to as many people as possible.... So without further pomp - I introduce my friends at Zaadz:
![]()
1) Brian Friended May 16th - As much as I care to say that I know this individual well, he curiously busy running something called a company, so I'll let it slide. But, I will say this - Brian is as attentive a CEO that I've ever met. Although Brian is an automatic friend to all zaadsters, I encourage everyone to get to know the guy on a personal level. As a matter of fact, we all have a great example of HOW to change the world through his actions. Two thumbs up, Brian. Great Holiday Fun on the ZAADZ site!

2) ~Matthew Friended May 16th - Matthew was another automatic "friend", as I joined the ambassador program immediately joining Zaadz. He's such an interesting guy. He makes these funny radio shows and posts them on his blogg for our zaadz listening pleasure. He kisses rock stars. He hangs out with Ken Wilber. What more can a girl ask for? AND he's a brilliant technical guru when I have a problem on the site. Bravo!
3) R@ndy Friended May 25th - I met Randy when he emailed me asking me what I thought of Zaadz. This was my first official experience with recieving a somewhat random email from a total stranger, so I was a bit hesitant, but no pain, no gain, right? Randy hails from Sunny California and is a very cool customer. He loves the environment, politics, bonfires on the beach and he has a singular wit. I've stolen some of his goals, if only to be as laid back and sunny as he is.

4) Princess Friended May 26th - Princess Jasmine. There aren't many zaadsters that HAVEN'T met Princess at one point or another. With a very in your face style, she's become the icon for all things love, with a great deal of straight talk. I know she loves New York, Indigo Children, and the world in general. WOW... that's alot of lovin in that little package.
5) Andy Friended May 26th - I initiated the friendship with Andy because of his Icon. I mean, look at it. How could I not respond to that? Andy made this picture and posted it for the world to see his true colors. I really felt like I was looking right into his brain when I saw it. He's a life coach with a zaadz mission; very inspiring, indeed.
6) Angie Friended May 27th - Angie approached me because we both share a hero: Ed Kowalczyk, the lead singer of LIVE (my favorite band). She hasn't shared much on her blogg site, which is unfortunate, but she has shared volumes with her pictures. I am so happy to have met her! She's got a prime location for change, Boulder Colorado. I had wondered where all the pretty people went.....
7) Drake Friended May 27th - Strange as this may sound, the love of my life was #7 on my friends list. Can you believe it? He is the greatest man alive, my absolute foundation. I hate being without him, even for the shortest period of time, because he gives me so much feedback and support. Girls, if you have someone with even the inkling of intellect and charm as my man, please hold on with both hands and enjoy the ride.

8) go for it Friended June 1st - I read this individual's blogg and some comments regarding "Angry vs Pissed Off" - it resonated so much with me that I friended this character - who happens to be an absolute mystery since we haven't spoken much. I know what to expect from one of the Indigo Children when I get it though - absolute honesty and tenacity. BTW, Stafa is just outside of Zurich. This was my first "international" friend. How cool is that?
9) ~C4Chaos Friended June 6th - Of course, we have our dearest C4Chaos, Matthew's apparent heckler in cyber space. I'm sure these two are great friends as they both work for Zaadz. I just love seeing what Chaos will come up with next. He plays guitar, which is a major plus in my book, seems to like AQAL and loves napping (at least that what he has on his bio). Perhaps when he's napping, he's dreaming of the Integral Institute.... or how to reply to Matthew's bloggs. Either one works. Do you know what he said when I aked him to be friends? "You're not in my friends list? Sorry for the oversight!" How sweet, he made me feel like I was a very important task that was merely overlooked. What a gentleman.

10) Hazel June 9th - Isn't she just gorgeous? Take a look at her kids, they are adorable. This lovely lady emailed me an invite, my 10th friend. I rewarded her with some little blurb about her being the 10th subscriber to Theaworld or something. I believe I also rewarded her with a trip to Disney World, but I can't be sure. Hey, I live in Florida, I can deliver. She used to live in India and is a professional writer. Can't wait to read her fabulous bloggs!
11) Frost Friended June 10th - This guy is a friend of mine from years past, the first of many friends I hope to introduce to Zaadz... To be perfectly honest, I don't have many friends in my life that I would ask to be here with me because many of them don't have the focus or will to change the world - but Frost was definitely on the short, must invite list. Expect great things from this guy - he'll get around to it eventually. And take a look at my photos for a view of Frost - he looks very much like his icon!

12) Zoe Friended June 14th - Zoe is a very active participant in the world. She apparently has many things in common with me - teenagers, time management issues and a desire to do SOMETHING.... Anything - so she just started in and dug in her heels. She volunteers, she cooks, she raises kids, she posts.... all around, I'd say that she has inspired me the most to be more active, more engaging and more upfront about my time limitations. If she can do it, so can I.
13) kew Friended June 15th - Check this chick out! She has a picture of herself with President Bush (senior) and even has a DISCLAIMER for the photo. She says "*Note I was covering the visit not supporting it!" Well after that, I just had to friend her, my curiosity had been initiated. We've had the most in depth conversations to date of all of my Zaadz friends. We share common interests, plus she looks vaguely familiar to me, although we've never met. She'll probably be the first Zaadster I meet in person, should the occasion arise.
14) Altazar Friended June 13th - This guy is from Croatia... Yeah, that' what I said - I KNOW SOMEONE IN CROATIA. The photo of the dog is adorable, but you should see the rest of his photos. What a beautiful place he lives in! He's the most exotic of my friends (listen to me, like I'm collecting friends in a jar or something) and the most open. We talked about synchronicity, kismet and a bunch of other stuff. His first emails were tentative because he was nervouse about his english, but I liked him right away. AND, he looks just like Dr Kovach from ER. That's a MAJOR plus in my book.
15) paul Friended June 16th - Paul wrote to me initially with "Wanna be my friend?", a comment that spawned a blogg from me on the wierdness of the zaadz "friending" proceedure. I replied with "Are you an axe murderer? Not recently? Ok, no problem, you are hereby “be-friended”. I didn't have any more material, honestly. I was running low after #10. But I'm glad we did friend each other. He introduced me to his pod on WAR. As far as the picture, I think he might be the one in the middle!
16) Julian Friended June 19th - OMIGOD! This character. I routinely go to blogg and photo sites for a frame of reference of what I'm getting into when I push the "accept invitation" button, but I wasn't prepared for Julian. I thought he was some Area 54 investigator or something. Nope, he says, he's not a Trekke, just a general interest in little green men. Very interesting guy, love the lighting effects on the pictures. They look like cool energy beams shooting out of his head. He'll be posting more on the subject matter later on Zaadz. I've only just friended him recently, so again, my curiosity is tickled.
17) alexchua Friended June 19th - My WHAT THE BLEEP go to guy! He started me on a gratitude journal kick. I joined his pod, he joined my pod, just a wonderful synergy going on here. Watch out, this guy is on the move! He just joined in June and has 316 friends to date! Apparently What the Bleep was a very popular movie.... Anyway, he's from Singapore, and I know next to nothing about Singapore, so I hope to get friendlier with him soon... If he can fit me in!
18) Skydancer Freinded June 20th - This young lady sent me a link to a women's call in line, web based, for free advice. Well, everyone needs free advice, no? I just thought that it was such a loving gesture that I friended her. She lives in Maui, and is the 2nd most exotic of my friends. She and Randy should get together, as he has a pod on Hawaii. She has a Pod called Lose Your Mind which she describes in her blogg. Very interesting stuff. Of course, living in Hawaii does have its perks. She gets to look like a beach goddess, for one. ![]()
19) shhh Friended June 21st - We started bantering on zaadz and had so much fun with it. At least, I did. Another Californian to add to my list, this very funny poet has a cat (no, sorry, update on that, he has 12 cats!) He's very witty, charming and he took my jokes about stalking me on zaadz very lightly. Not many people would have, which is a testament to his jovial nature. - Of course I'll have to insist on being introduced to all of the cats, as I don't want to let anything slip by, never can be too careful, ladies!
20) White Phoenix Friended June 26th - And #20 answered my call for the 20th friend! YAY! I knew I'd get there some day. California is the place to be it seems, as three of my friends, to date, hail from there. I wonder if they have a California Pod? Hmmmm.... This friend believes in "the darkness before the dawn". What an enigmatic statement! Well worth my interest and curiosity. And we have the Lord of the Rings to fall back on, if nothing else!
HONORABLE MENTIONS:

21) Julia Friended June 27, 2006 - I had visited Julia's pod Radical Self Care, and I've seen her face on many a friends list. I knew she would friend me eventually.... It's one of those kismet things. She lived in NY and is a very successful life coach. I've got two life coaches now, so that means I'm going to be one well adjusted individual!
22) Jusme Friended June 28th - What do I know about him? He's really into self improvement and likes 80's heavy metal. What's there not to like? And he coaches little league. And quotes Socrates. Do I know his life history yet? NO.... But I'll get it eventually.
Whew!!! This post took me three days to compile! I got more responses than I expected and I really hope that you guys have some comments for me about this post. It was important to me to let you all know that I am watching, keeping track and following all of your meanderings here at Zaadz because I have a real interest in you as people. I'm a cynic by nature - but something about you all has changed my heart and mind; to think that there are really people out there who give a rats ass about something other than money, material crap and the latest Survivor episode. Who would have dreamed it? Well, Brian, for one.
Namaste to you all. I acknowledge the divine within each of you in kind.

w00t!
Wow… is it ok for me to be humbled by this, AND to offer the possibility that I'm probably NOT as cool as I feel when reading what you wrote about me? And did you know that ~C4Chaos is my biatch? Also, I'd like to thank Brondu for the whole being able to hang out with KW thing…. Were it not for he, it'd not have happened :) ……yet.

To answer your question, Singapore is a tiny red dot with huge aspirations. The year was 1965, and Singapore was suddenly on her own. With no natural resources and an unstable regional situation, the future looked difficult for our small island. Now more than ever, was there a need for Singaporeans to rally around each other, regardless of differences. Singapore was no longer just a city or state, she was a nation.
In 1966, Singapore celebrated her first National Day with a parade at the Padang.
This year marks our nation's 41st year of independence and Singapore will be celebrating her birthday on 9th August 2006 :-)
You can join in the celebration @ http://www.ndp.org.sg/index.php?id=2

Wow Thea! I'm a little late in getting here, but what a kind contribution. I'm so flattered by what you've said about me. You have inspired me as well!
